  • Ease of atomizer replacement

The Herakles Plus by Sense is among the highest rated tanks from 2016 and going into 2017. The tank has some amazing upgrades from its prior verison. With airflow traveling directly to the coil increasing overall flavor and rapid cooling, to the new custom coil lasting longer than before, this is one great vape tank for sub-ohmers in the 30 to 75 watt range.

The popularity of Herakles vape tanks has been burgeoning in the recent past. The original Herakles was ranked among the best vape tank in many reviews on the internet and in my own personal experience, I had very little qualms about it. And like most devices in the vape industry, when a new device is popular, vendors come out with a newer updated version of it and you hope they don’t try to fix anything that wasn’t broken to begin with.  The Herakles Plus is one of the few RTA vaping tanks out there that has been truly upgraded in a good way.

A 0.4ohm double coil comes with each new unit. Sense have equally optimized its performance to rival that of higher-end vapes. Herakles works optimally at 40-75W. Nonetheless, it can function effectively up to 100W. Each new packaging contains:

  • 1 x Herakles Plus Tank by Sense
  • 1 x Herakles Plus 0.4 ohm Coil (Pre-Installed)
  • 1 x Herakles Plus Replacement 0.2 ohm 316L Coil
  • 1 x Herakles Plus Replacement Glass Tube

Product Specs

Herakles Plus by Sense has a wattage range of 40-100W for the 0.4ohm coil and 30-75W for the 0.2ohm coil. Its tank capacity is 3.5ml while its wicking material is entirely made of organic cotton. The vape tank has a diameter of 22mm and features a juice flow control – allowing the tank to handle thinner juice ratios without leaking. There is also a distinctive vent that enhances airflow through the system, pushing this tank’s performance even further.

This vape tank’s price is quite favorable considering its performance. Its main talking point is the spare coils, which retail at $13.99 dollars for a carton of 5 coils. This is more affordable than other sub-ohm tank auxiliary coils in the market. This makes it a must-have for heavy vapers who find themselves going thru a significant number of coils.

Herakles by Sense Flavor and Vapor

Due to its ability to perform at extremely low and high wattage, you are likely to be wowed by the vape tank’s flavor. Nonetheless, this vape tank may become uncomfortably warm when the wattage rises above 110W. The tank’s flavor compares favorably with that of most higher-end tanks in this category – however, you will be forced to use a high wattage for you to attain your desired flavor. Due to the presence of a double wrapped vertical coil that has 100% cotton wicking, you are guaranteed exceptional flavor with a high-quality e-juice. Sense’s custom coil design delivers a massive amount of flavor but with that – it goes through some juice pretty quick when vaping above 50-watts.

Build Quality and Aesthetics

Herakles is entirely made of stainless steel. Its good-looking tank has a copper 510 joint, which helps enhance the sub-ohm’s allure all the more. The grill-type airflow vent also makes Herakles Plus tank to stand out from the rest of the pack. By virtue of being made of 100% stainless steel, the tank feels sturdy in your hands. Its airflow system can be conveniently moved, and nicely clicks into place. Besides this, the tank’s drip tip securely sits at the top.

When it comes to leaking, the Herakles is not immune. It’s extremely important that the atomizer is very tightly screwed in. This is typically not encouraging with most tanks as you run the chance of damaging the threads but I would recommend putting a little more umph when applying it to the base. Also, its very important to close the airflow before filling! This alone eliminates 95% of any leaking issues.

Pros and ConsHerakles Plus review

  • Great looking, with superior build quality.
  • Leak issues almost none existent ( atomizer must be screwed tightly)
  • Its replacement parts are easily available.

  • Doesn’t have an RBA section and therefore, you can’t make your own coils.
  • Filling up the tank could be easier.

Herakles is a premier high wattage sub ohm tank. Its main selling point is the flavor and affordable pricing. Its wattage similarly makes it a must-have if you are seeking a superior sub ohming experience under the 100w range. All in all, after a full review I agree with most in saying that the Herakles is an outstanding vape tank.
