Apollo is quickly becoming among the elite manufacturers in the e-cig world thanks to most of their devices being very well built, and hitting all the marks you look for in a great vape mod. After my time spent with the Apollo Vtube 5.0, I am confident in saying this is the flagship of their current catalog and ranks very high in the advanced vape realm. This kit comes with everything you need to get started right out of the box. Easy setup, no tools needed, and I was up and vaping within a few minutes. With multiple adjustment buttons on the front of the device, it was very easy to get the settings to my liking quickly. The model prior(v3) was a MOD that I used for months and had very little issues with so the expectations were very heavy using this one. Thanks to a good sized LCD screen, the guesswork is taken out of where your device settings are at.
Right out of the box there are a few things that immediately pop out first, the build quality; this vape mod is very well built and is solid once put together. In this case, it does carry a little weight to it, and it’s not the lightest in this category. Once the battery and tank are added, well there was no mistaking it for an mini vape that’s for sure!
The threading on this device is much better than the last model. When putting this together (the battery cap- battery housing – beauty ring), it was very smooth without any hangups. The overall appearance of this device helps it rank a little higher than others in its class. A very clean, classy design, this one looks sharp coming in a stainless steel/chrome mat finish. Luckily I have yet to drop it but I get the feeling this thing could easily take a few spills and be fine thanks to it robust body.

Getting up and running quickly out of the box was a great start, and setting up my wattage was simple. Larger than expected vapor output and a smooth throat hit even at the higher voltage amounts was something you typically don’t see with devices of this style.
A nice feature that stood out was while in the variable voltage mode was the automatic adjustment, of the voltage based off the atomizer resistance attached. Another neat feature is after changing tanks it remembered my settings preferences eliminating have to reset it every time I had to fill up.
Battery life was solid as it easily went over into the next day after heavy usage thanks to the 18650 battery. It can go as high as 50 watts but rarely did I need to go over 20 to get the maximum flavor from my e-juice, and this helped with daily battery life. No micro USB port was a little bit of a shocker but with Apollo providing a TrustFire Dual Battery Charger easily made up for the no USB port.
If I had to find another knock on this device, it would be the scrolling speed. When holding down + or -, it was a little slow compared to others I have tried, but obviously not that big of a deal. Near the top of the vape mods I’ve recently tried. Solid build with no loose parts – easy to adjust – solid battery and vapor output hitting the desired marks.
The 510 threading makes it compatible with most tanks out there and the screen was very easy to read when making adjustments or checking the battery level. The TrustFire charger that it comes with is pretty cool as it can charge many different battery sizes and has two slots – with that said consider picking up a second battery. If size isn’t an issue, I would highly recommend this model to anyone stepping up from a vape pen or basic e-cig.
