Aesthetics, Build Quality & Overall Feel

Upon first glance, the Reactor Mega might seem to a be an unassuming little vape, but looks can be deceiving. Housed within the devices tiny little frame is a massive internal 5,000 mAh LiPo battery, one of the largest internal batteries available in any mod to date. Sufficient battery venting can be found at the bottom of the device which is always a good thing to see when keeping battery safety in mind. The top of the mod houses the stainless steel spring loaded 510 connection.

The Reactor tank sits perfectly flush on top, making a perfect connection with the device at all times.

The front of the device is where you can find the screen and buttons used to configure and fire the Reactor Mega. A large protruding firing button is found towards the top of the mod directly above the LED display. Clickiness and tactile feedback are no strangers to the device when activating the mod, as it offers a nice satisfying click whenever pressed. The same tactility applies to the up and down wattage buttons, which make the Reactor Mega an easy device to operate. The screen is brightly lit and display all important information such as current battery life, wattage, and coil resistance.

Operation & Performance

Operating the Reactor Mega is a breeze. 5 clicks to turn the device on, and another 5 clicks to turn it off. Pressing the firing button with the tank sitting on top instantly fires up the device with practically zero firing delay. Ramp up is quick and instantaneous and you’ll hardly feel any lag when firing the coils up as they heat up instantly.

The included 0.15 ohm Ni200 coil heads supplied with the kit do a great job of producing a good amount of flavor and vapor. Longevity isn’t much of a problem either as each coil head lasts easily upwards of a few weeks, although your results might vary depending on the type of e-liquid you’re using. Airflow is easily adjustable thanks to the airflow ring on the tank letting you fine-tune your vaping experience according to your preferences.

The 5,000mAh battery will easily last you an entire day of heavy vaping, and can easily be charged via the included micro USB cable. Charging time is pretty quick considering the size of the battery and you can expect the Reactor Mega to be fully charged within a couple of hours.

Final Thoughts

Given its solid performance, massive battery, and overall ease-of-use, it’s hard to pass up the Reactor Mega kit. It’s a solid choice for a beginners starter kit, and can even serve as an end-game vape thanks to its well-kitted feature set. The v.2 Reactor tank is among the most well-built that Halo has to offer and truly makes this kit a home run.

  • I bought this a few weeks ago and love the looks and size. Only thing I wish it had was a bigger tank but i like the top fill feature.
