Ease Of Use
The IPV lineup has recently been giving a new addition, the IPV400. The IPV400 gives us 80 more watts than the IPV4 and a much sleeker build. The latest updated Yihi SX330-200 chip helps to keep the temperature control extremely accurate and practically eliminating misfires altogether. With 200watts becoming the new standard with higher end box mods there’s no doubt this mod will stay current for a long time to come, and the upgradable firmware will help contribute to its longevity.
The Pioneer4You IPV400 TC vape is the latest box mod from Pioneer that is aiming to put its critics to rest. The IPV400 is a substantial and well-built nod that give you great vapor production in a sleek and easy package.
The earlier model IPV4 had its fair amount of criticism, which is why Pioneer4You quickly released the IPV4 s, addressing the issues with the original mod. The IPV5 improves their unit even further, creating a mod that is powerful and well designed—and pleasing many vapers with its variable options and awesome power.
The IPV400 is an excellent blend of style and substance, with a sleek look that puts it on par with even the more expensive mods out there. The LED screen is easy to read and it displays wattage, applied voltage, resistance level, memory setting and battery life. Temperature controls are in both Celsius and Fahrenheit and can heat the coil up to 572 Fahrenheit. The IPV5 has variable wattage settings from 10 to 200 watts. You can also select a setting for your coil, as well as your resistance range. The IPV400 does support sub-ohm vaping, with a resistance range of 0.15 ohms all the way up to 3 ohms. There are a lot of options on this device—meaning it is truly best suited for an experienced vaper who is comfortable with the ideas of so many variable settings.
Still, even though it’s best for experienced vapers, it is still easy to use with clear buttons and a clear screen to cycle through all the settings easily. It is as simple as a device with this many options really can be, so you won’t ever feel overwhelmed once you’re comfortable with your favorite settings. This mod has memory settings too so you can load your own favorite settings with only a few clicks of the button.
The IPV5 has a standard 510 connection so all your favorite tanks will work with this mod. The unit comes with a user manual and a USB cord for updating if needed, this cord will not be used for charging. The batteries are not included in this kit, so you will want to make sure you have two 18650 batteries on hand or you’ll want to purchase them when you buy your mod. The door slides open easily to reveal the spring-loaded battery compartment. There are several battery vent holes along the bottom of the mod, preventing the device from overheating. This doesn’t take away from the overall style of this sleek unit.
The IPV400 is available in black, or purple. I hear there is a pink one out there too, but I haven’t seen it available for purchase just yet. The unit has a substantial feel and good weight to it; it feels like a well-built solid unit when you hold it in your hand. No matter what color you choose, you’ll find that Pioneer4You put a lot of work into their IPV5 to bring you a mod with all the right settings for your perfect vaping experience.

No matter what someone’s previous opinion about Pioneer4You might be, this design and this box mod really delivers. The IPV400 enables some seriously excellent vapor production for cloud chasers and casual users alike. The settings are easy to control and the options give you every potential way to customize your vaping experience imaginable.
From my research, it appears as though a small percentage of these vapes have a small glitch in them where they will not go past 75 watts in power mode. This is not a problem I experienced, however, from what I understand there is an easy fix. I’m sure that Pioneer4You will come out with an update for this so I wouldn’t be too discouraged. The demand for newer devices and amount that are being pumped out, these little glitches seem to be commonplace, and as long as the device is USB upgradeable, it’s not the end of the world. If you do get one of the vapes that have this issue, and Pioneer has yet to release a fix, this video has an easy fix you can do on your own. As I mentioned, this was not a problem for me, my device worked flawlessly, but if it does, the solution is not hard to find. Once it’s resolved, you’ll never have to perform the fix again, and the device will continue to work from that point on.
I also wish the batteries were included; I feel like, for the price of mods that would be a nice thing to include, however, many do not include them, so this really shouldn’t be an issue or breaking point for anyone.
Again this is definitely a great box mod for an experienced user—it’s a lot to take on for beginners, but even so it is easy enough to use it really wouldn’t be the worst model for a vaper looking to learn about these things too. Since the controls and the interface is still so easy, it’s a good model that makes the transition easier for vapers who want to enter into the variable vaping world.
Overall, though what I’m most impressed with is the feel of the IPV5. The second you grab on to it, you’ll feel what I mean. It is just a well-built and solid box mod. Even though it’s really quite comparable in size to a lot of the other box mods in this price range, the weight lets you know that you are holding on to a truly solid piece of equipment.
